"Company", "we", "our" or "us" means Story Grid Publishing, publisher of The Standard.

"Site" means thestandard.pub and any content, subscriptions or products offered through it.

"Personal Information" means information that identifies you, including your name, postal address, email address and telephone number.

"Content" means the writing, artwork, design and other material published on the Site or in the magazine.

"You" or "your" means any person who visits the Site, subscribes to The Standard, or contributes to it.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and in its entirety before using the Site. It describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

• Your name, as you wish it to appear, and your email address.
• Your postal address and telephone number, where you have ordered a printed issue.
• Records of your subscription, contribution or order, and correspondence with us.
• Technical information such as your browser, device and approximate location, collected automatically.

We collect personal information when you subscribe as a Standard-Keeper, take out a Physical + PDF subscription, make a Founding Contribution, contact us, or otherwise submit information through the Site.

We use your personal information to:

• Deliver the issues, digital or printed, that you have subscribed to or contributed for.
• Process and record payments, and provide receipts.
• Publish your chosen name on the Honor Ledger, if you are a Founding Contributor, and print it in the magazine. This is the recognition you are choosing when you contribute.
• Send you announcements about the magazine, which you may stop at any time.
• Answer your questions and provide support.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who make the magazine work, and only so far as they need it: our payment processor, our email delivery provider, and our printing and fulfilment partners.

We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections across the whole Site. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our own systems.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site uses a small number of cookies to make it work correctly and to understand how it is used in aggregate. You can set your browser to refuse cookies; parts of the Site may then not work as intended.

The Site may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

You may visit the Site anonymously. This policy is linked from the Site so that it can be found from any page. You may request changes to your personal information at any time by writing to us.

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

Every email we send identifies who it is from, gives our postal address, and includes a way to stop receiving further email. If you unsubscribe we will stop sending, though we may still need to contact you about an order or subscription you have placed.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. You may also withdraw consent to marketing at any time, and complain to your national supervisory authority.
